He has had major and minor supporting roles in over thirty feature films, fifty industrial films and videos, twenty-five plays, and well over a hundred television and radio commercials. Tip has written over eighty scripts for business, industrial, governmental, and educational film and video. He has directed industrial films and commercials. He has been a casting director, an assistant director, a production manager, and a talent agent. Tip Boxell has conducted acting training programs for the McCarty Agency, Eastman Agency, Saxton House, and UNO Talent.
Tip has successfully served such clients as Brigham Young University, the University of Utah, the Utah State Legislature, the Utah Endowment for the Humanities, the Veterans Administration, the LDS Church, Sunn Classic Pictures, Comworld International, International Media Corporation, Skaggs Telecommunications Service, Video West, Bonneville Productions, and many others.
Lance Williams and Tip Boxell are the co-authors of Promised Valley ... the Novel based on the musical play by Arnold Sundgaard and Crawford Gates. For WestFest '93 in Utah, Lance produced and Tip directed a revived production of that play.
Tip served as writer, on-air host, and associate producer for "Housing the American Dream," created and produced by Lance Williams for a three season run on the Utah affiliate of the Fox Network.
Tip has a B.A. in History from Tufts University and an M.A. in Theater and Film from Brigham Young University.
