AMERICAN GUNMAKER: The John M. Browning Story

John Browning was the most prolific gun inventor the world has ever known. Discover his remarkable life as Fess Parker spans three generations in telling this fascinating story. From the first of 44 patents for Winchester to supplying America all of it's automatic weapons in three world conflicts, John M. Browning was an inventive genius. With over 100 patents, Mr. Browning invented pistols, rifles, and shotguns for Winchester, Remington, Colt, Fabrique Nationale and others. He also designed automatic pistols, rifles, machine guns and cannons for Uncle Sam and many Allied countries. His inventive versitility and reliability has become legend.

"It is not thought that any other individual has contributed so much to the national security of this country as Mr. Browning in the development of our machine guns and our automatic weapons to a state of military efficiency surpassing that of all nations..."

Honorable Dwight F. Davis
Secretary of War 1926
